Bakau Lodge is located in Bakau which is a working African town. The nearest beach is 250 metres away from the lodge and cape point is a 20 minute stroll away. Cape point has excellent beaches. We are an oasis for independent travellers and surprisingly peaceful in the midst of the hustle and bustle found upon exploring Bakau and other areas of Gambia.

We have been open since 2005, the main tourist months are from November to April and the rainy season is usually from June to October. We are situated and sign posted on Atlantic Road. Bakau some 200 metres past the Bakau market with the sea being on your left side
